"For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified" (1 Corinthians 2:2).

Our desire is to consistently grow in our knowledge of the Gospel. Sound doctrine is the precursor to sound living. We address many topics other than Christ and Him crucified, but our commitment is never to address any topic apart from Christ and Him crucified. The Gospel is a great school from which we will never graduate, and we will spend eternity marveling at God's wisdom in the salvation of sinners.

At Sovereign Grace, we are not content with an intellectual assent to truth; we believe it must affect how we live. So we seek to apply the Gospel in every aspect of our lives. It is only through beholding the glory of Christ in the Gospel (2 Corinthians 3:18- 4:6), that we are truly changed. We desire for the Gospel to define not only our relationship with God, but with others in community as well.

"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light" (1 Peter 2:9).

The Gospel in its very essence is good news. This good news is meant to be proclaimed by those who have been transformed by it. As we treasure the Gospel, it produces a love and compassion in our hearts for those who are separated from God by their sin. Our deep desire is for Sovereign Grace Church to be known for its proclamation of the Gospel, and the joy of many coming to know the person and work of Jesus Christ.
